About M.Sc in Surgery

The course is not available through distance learning.

What is M.Sc in Surgery?

The candidates who appear for this postgraduate course are called Junior Residents. These Junior Surgical Residents are trained in the discipline of surgery and operate under the guidance and supervision of Senior experienced Surgeons. Master of Surgery provides a Doctor qualification in surgery. After completion of course successfully, doctors become certified Surgeon. Basic Sciences as Applied to Surgery, Operative Surgery, Recent Advances in Surgery are some of the subjects undertaken during the course.

Medical Council of India is a statutory body which regulates and monitors the standards of Medical Education in India.

  1. An MBBS or BDS from a reputed organization with a minimum one year of internship.
  2. The candidate should have full registration either from MCI or any of the state council.
  3. Should obtain minimum 50 % marks in the eligibility entrance test for Post-Graduate courses.
