About B.Tech in Information Security

The Bachelor of Technology course in Information Security helps the students to obtain a detailed understanding about concepts and aspects relating to information security. Students gain knowledge about the security risks and the relevant measures to overcome them. B.Tech in Information Sec

B.Tech Information Security course is a four-year undergraduate course. It comprises of eight semesters. In every semester, students are taught about all the stages involved in the information security development. This study is done by taking into consideration the organizational requirements. After completion of this course, students gain ability of investigating, analyzing and assessing the security threats of organizational information sources.

On completion of this program, students can aim for higher educational opportunities and good jobs. They can work in various sectors such as audit, evaluation and operations. They occupy job positions such as engineers, analysts and analysts.

Students can earn around Rs. 1.8 lakhs per annum to Rs. 3 lakhs per annum, depending upon their level of expertise and kind of organization.

Purpose of B.Tech in Information Security

This course provides students with knowledge relating to system architecture, database systems, network security risks and relevant countermeasures. The students can plan information security policies according to the nature of respective organization. Students are supposed to possess logical, critical thinking and analytical skills.

For getting admission to this program, students must have scored at least 45% to 50% in Science subjects namely, Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Students from recognized boards can also apply for this program.

Students need to appear and score well in entrance examinations such as JEE. They must refer online sources for additional information. Students clearing their JEE examinations must attend group discussions and personal interview conducted by the respective institution.
